Teach the Child Initiative has entered into a strategic partnership with the Global Youth Skills Acquisition and Poverty Eradication Organisation (GYSAPEO) to strengthen advocacy around the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and promote skills-based employment for rural youth across the Federal Capital Territory.
The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on November 4, 2025, outlines joint efforts to expand NSQF sensitization through community networks, digital platforms, and youth development programs.
Under this partnership, Teach the Child Initiative will lead the development of NSQF-focused campaign materials, radio content, and learning resources, while GYSAPEO will amplify these messages through its youth clusters, skill development programs, social media and grassroots channels.
According to Emediong Jerry, Head of Operations at Teach the Child Initiative:
“This partnership strengthens our commitment to ensuring that rural youth gain access to recognition pathways for their skills. GYSAPEO’s community reach and shared vision make them a strong ally in promoting the NSQF at the grassroots level.”
A representative from GYSAPEO stated:
“…Our partnership with Teach the Child Initiative is critical because it champions the Nigerian Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), a system that moves beyond certificates to validate practical competence. By linking rural youth directly to NSQF-aligned training, we are not just creating employment; we are building an adaptable, globally competitive workforce that will drive grassroots economic growth.”
